Martha Ann (Herring) Ward passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Arlington, Texas at the age of 59. She was born June 24, 1961, to Marvin B. and Mary Ann (Woods) Herring in Empire City, Oklahoma.
Martha graduated from Empire High School. She enjoyed fishing and shooting guns. She loved to travel and especially taking trips to Florida with her family. Martha also enjoyed cooking and singing. She married John Kevin Ward on August 27, 2018, in Wichita Falls. Together, she and John ran their Broken Diamond cattle ranch. Before retiring in 2018, Martha was employed as a Customer Service Representative at LegalShield for over 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Herring, and her grandparents.
Martha is survived by her husband, John Kevin Ward; children: Alisha Covert of Mineral Wells; Lynzee Covert of Comanche; Jacob Ward of Arlington; Zachary Ward and wife Julia of North Carolina; grandchildren: Layla Covert, Michael Orr, Jazmyn Howerton, Levi Owen, Lucy Ward; father, Marvin B. Herring; and brothers: James Herring and wife Sandy of Empire; Steven Herring and wife Jami of Poteau.
