On January 18, 2020, Barbara Ann Hoffman, loving wife of Robert A. Hoffman, mother of Cynthia and David Hoffman and grandmother of DJ and Hannah Hoffman passed away.
Barbara grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She attended the College of St. Theresa’s in Winona, where she met Bob, and married. They moved to Maryland when Bob got a job at Goddard Space Flight Center. Here, she enjoyed raising two kids and socializing with the local moms. She loved the theater, watching ice skating and growing African violets. She regularly volunteered for So Others Might Eat, organizing monthly meal collections at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and collecting shoe box gifts for the homeless every Christmas. She loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Italy, Germany, England, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland and Canada, as well as California, New England and a wonderful Alaska cruise with family.

Nearly four years ago, she had a stroke, which robbed her of her mobility and most pleasures of life. While the last four years were very difficult for her, she bore her illness with remarkable patience and acceptance.

A memorial service will be held in the Annapolis Room at Ingleside at King Farm (701 King Farm Blvd, Rockville, MD) on February 3rd at 4 pm.
