Mark Anthony Payne II, 32, of Bradshaw, WV, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020. He enjoyed playing his guitar, “Ole Bell.” He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his uncle Donald. Mark’s family will always cherish the memory of his big smile and fondly remember how he always made them laugh. Mark will be missed tremendously by all his family and friends.

Mark was born on January 14, 1988 in Welch, WV. Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Keller Payne (1934-1996) and Pearl Baker-Payne (1932-1999); his maternal grandparents, Randolph Kennedy (1917-1994) and Ruth Ann McCoy-Kennedy (1926-1991); four aunts, Lady Hicks (Deceased), Loretta Faye “Sissy” Kennedy-Church (1947-2018), Wanda Gaye Payne-Clough (1954-2019), and Linda Kennedy (Deceased); three uncles, James Kennedy (Deceased), Lee Matthew Baker (1952-1995) and Lowell Baker (Deceased); his hero, Randy Lee Kennedy (1975-2013); and an infant cousin, Tabitha Ruth Ann Kennedy (1993-1993).

Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Kennedy-Payne-Vance (Deceased) & husband “Big” Rick Vance; his dad, Mark Anthony Payne I & wife Angie Payne; his children, Braiden Marshall, and Madelyn Marshall; the mother of his children, Stephanie Marshall; his sisters, Telisha Payne-Roland & husband Harold Roland Jr. of Chilhowie; VA, and Christy Payne-Stanley & husband Bryan Stanley of Pineville, WV; his brothers, Mickey Vance & wife Rickey Vance of Pineville, WV, and Billy Ball; nieces, Shayla Roland, Kayla Roland, and Madison Roland of Chilhowie, VA; nephews, Harold Dean Roland II and Knox Walsh; aunts, Kathy Jewell, and Connie Jewell of Bradshaw, WV and Cleo "Arlene" Kennedy-Davis (B. 1936) & husband Raymond Charles Davis Sr. (B. 1932) of Nashville, TN; uncles, Claude Church of Bradshaw, Donald Kennedy & wife Frances Kennedy of Bradshaw, Coburn Kennedy & wife Billie Kennedy of Nashville, TN, David Payne of Bandy, VA, and Wes Herndon of Kingsport, TN; a host of cousins whom he considered his sisters and brothers; and his best friend Randy Stacy of Jolo, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 12:00 with Reverend Roger Pete Woods officiating at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV. Burial will follow in the Woods Cemetery in Oozley Hollow near Bradshaw, WV. Friends may visit with the family after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV. Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced.
