Funeral services for Thomas W. Biven Sr., 80, of 215 W. School St., will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Beach Grove Methodist Church in Anacoco.

Burial will be in Beach Grove Cemetery in Anacoco.

The body will remain at Hixson Funeral Home here until 10:30 a.m. Friday when it will be taken to Anacoco for arrival at the church at 12:30 p.m.

Mr. Biven died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday en route to a local hospital.

He was a native of Anacoco and had lived here 22 years. He was a retired Port of Lake Charles guard and was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mres. Sammie Bertrand, and two sons, Thomas W. Biven Jr. and Wilbur M. Biven, all of Lake Charles; one brother, jona Biven, and one sister, Mrs. Edith McConathy, both of Anacoco; and six grandchildren.
