Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon for Albert H. Worrell, age 78, prominent farmer of Clayton, who died at his home at midnight on Tuesday, May 2, following a lingering illness. Burial will be in the Clayton Cemetery. Mr. Worrell is survived by a son, Willard, and a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Johnson, both of Indianapolis, a daughter, Miss Ruth Worrell, and a son, Lee Worrell, both of Clayton, and a brother, Charles Worrell of Clayton. He was the son of James and Lucinda Shirley Worrell and had lived his entire life at Clayton. He attended school one year at Emporia, Kansas, and later graduated from Indiana State Normal College at Terre Haute. He was a former teacher in the Liberty township schools. In December 1886 he was married to Miss Mary Ader, who died 15 years ago. He was a member of the Clayton Baptist Church, was secretary of the White Lick Baptist Association for 25 years and had been a reporter for county and state papers for many years. Mr. Worrell donated 500 volumes of Shakespeare to the Franklin College Library several years ago. He was keenly interested in the study of Shakespeare.
