Funeral Services for Mrs. Sally Ruth Satterfield Black, age 98 of Dickson, Tennessee the Pomona Community, will be held Saturday September 8, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Darety officiating. Interment in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sylvia, Tennessee. Visitation with the family will be Friday, September 7, 2007 from 2 until 8 PM.

Mrs. Ruth Black died Wednesday September 5, 2007 in Dickson Health Care Center. She was born December 15, 1908 in Dickson Co. Tennessee daughter of the late Allen Satterfield and Vernie Sykes Satterfield. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Black who died in 1970, a daughter, Susie Ruth Black, a son and daughter-In--law, Delmer and Christine Black, Four Grandchildren, Three Sisters, One Brother. She was retired from the former Red Cap Shirt Factory where she had worked for 24 years. She was a member of the Pomona Church of Christ.

Survivors include her two sons, Thurman Black, Ponchatoula, LA, Horace Black, Loranger, LA. Two Daughters, Annie Mai Robertson, Loranger, LA. Betty Sue Nicks, White Bluff, Tennessee, Seventeen Grandchildren, Five Step Grandchildren, Twenty-Seven Great Grandchildren, Fifteen Great Great Grandchildren.
