Arthur James Sweet, 76 of Washington, WV, passed away December 14, 2020. He was born November 27, 1944, in Camden, New Jersey, a son of the late Carl Sweet and the late Olive Styles Sweet. Arthur attended St. Monica’s Parish. He retired from Dupont after 42 years of service. Arthur enjoyed nature, genealogy, and playing bridge. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Sweet; sons, Lieutenant Colonel Robert James (Shannon) Sweet of Valdosta, GA, Michael Arthur (Courtney) Sweet of Morgantown, WV; sister, Pearl Swayne of Virginia; four grandchildren, Katie, Dani, Charlotte, and Michael.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy. Funeral services will be 1PM Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with Father John Ross officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 11AM to 1PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
