Herman Warren July 10, 1927 - Sept. 27, 2007 Herman Warren was born to Hanford Warren Sr. and Claudia M. Warren. To this union were two sons, Hanford Warren Jr. and Herman Warren. Herman served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. After returning from the service, he met and married Ellen Winston. From this union one son, Cornell Warren was born. They remained married until Ellen's death. Herman later met and married Lenora Gardener. From this union the Warren family lovingly grew, adding a stepdaughter, Valerie and grandchildren. Herman Warren is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellen Warren and wife, Lenora Warren; and his only brother, Hanford Warren Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Cornell and Valerie; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces; a nephew; and a host of other relatives; a special friend, JoAnne Brown; his Cain Memorial AME Church family and friends. Herman will always be in our hearts. We love you! Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5th, at 11:00 a.m., at Cain Memorial AME Church, 630 California Avenue. Pastor Timothy O. Coston Sr. is officiating with interment to follow with a Veteran's Ceremony at Union Cemetery. Viewing to start Thursday, October 4th, at 11:00 a.m., with an hour of meditation to be held from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Rucker's Mortuary.
