He was born Nov. 27, 1908, to Otis Karn and Delia Rachel Barton Dunkin in Yelton, Okla.
He married Maurine German in 1937 in Little River, Kan.
He was a lather for 30 years and served in the Navy from 1928 to 1932 and 1943 to 1945.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars post 1709 in Flagstaff, Ariz., and the Lather's Union.
He is survived by two brothers, William of Twentynine Palms and Lyle of Steilacoom, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine in 1987.
Services will be private.
Inurnment will be at Twentynine Palms Cemetery under the direction of Rose Mortuary of Desert Hot Springs.
