Mary Jo Murphy Saffeels, daughter of Willard H. and Marjorie (Clark) Murphy was born June 23, 1952 and passed away September 27, 2007, due to lung cancer at her home in Underwood, Iowa.
She graduated from Earlham Community School in May, 1970. She worked at several jobs, her last job being with Sapp Brothers Travel Plaza, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She loved fishing and being outdoors, but her greatest joy was her grandchildren and being with her family. She loved going on road trips with her husband, David, in the semi.
Mary Jo accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.
In 1992, Mary Jo married David E. Saffeels.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father Willard Murphy, her brother Harold Murphy, her brother-in-law Dennis Fredericksen, her aunt Lucy Cave.
