Mary Ann Haggerty was born on February 15, 1850, to George Haggerty and Delight Huldah Myers of New Jersey. She had 9 siblings.
She married Lewis Fox on 27 Dec 1876 in Franklin Ohio and had 4 children. After Lewis's accidental death she married a man named Brown.
Mrs. Mary Ann Brown, eighty-seven, died early Saturday April 3, 1937 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Kugler, in Elkhart, Indiana. Mrs. Brown was a Marion resident but had been visiting her daughter.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Monday at 805 South Adams street, with Rev. Dougald K. Mccoll, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating.
Survivors included two daughters, Mrs. Kugler, and Mrs. Pearl Darst, Toledo, Ohio; two sons, Dan Fox, Elkhart, and Albert Fox, Marion.
