J. Calvin Cramer, 96, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Elmcroft of Shippensburg.

Born Monday, September 1, 1924 in Shippensburg, he was a son of the late Clarence Edgar and Sara Helen Ocker Cramer, Sr.

Calvin retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad as a block operator. He also worked numerous part time jobs at various locations. Calvin was a member of the Shippensburg First Church of God, a member of the Hub City Club in Shippensburg, he enjoyed hunting and was a Jack of all Trades.

Surviving is one daughter, Jeanette C. Miller; one son, David Lee (wife Patricia) Cramer, all of Shippensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Virginia Heller Cramer who passed away March 4, 2015; one brother, Clarence Edgar Cramer, Jr.; two sisters, Marie A. Myers and Beatrice Strock and son in-law, Richard L. Miller.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, funeral services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shippensburg First Church of God, 121 East King Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257 or Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23453.

CRAMER - HELLER

SHIPPENSBURG, June 8 - Miss Gladys Virginia Heller was married on Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock to J. Calvin Cramer in a ceremony that took place In the Church of God.

The bride Is the daughter of Mrs. Helen M. Heller, of 116 East Orange street (sic), and the late Matthias J. Heller, Mr. Cramer Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Cramer, of R. R. 1.

The Rev. M. C. Manning performed the double ring ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Percy Boughey.

Given In marriage by her cousin, Lester Tritt, of Chambersburg, the bride was gowned in white satin, fashioned with sweetheart neckline and long train. Her fingertip veil of French illusion fell from a tiara of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white rosebuds and larkspur.

Miss Mary Elizabeth Watson, of town, the maid of honor, wore peach taffeta. The bridesmaids were Miss Kathleen S. Fuller, of town, and Mrs. Charles Ernst, of Chambersburg. Miss Fuller's gown was of mauve marquisette and Mrs. Ernst wore yellow marquisette.

Kenneth Fogelsanger, of town, served as best man. The ushers were Clarence Cramer Jr., brother of the bridegroom, and Clyde Heller, of Waynesboro, cousin of the bride.

A recital of organ music was played by Clyde S. Shive Jr., student at the Pennsylvania State College and a former organ pupil of the bride. His numbers included 'Invocation from Marriage Mass," "La Serenata," "Clouds," "Meditation," and "At Dawning."

Mr. Shive also accompanied Mrs. Bernard Nye, who sang "I love You Truly," "Because," and "God Gave Me You." At the close of the ceremony, Mrs. Nye sang "Savior Like A Shepherd Lead Us."

A reception was held In the social room of the church.

The bride is a graduate of Shippensburg High School and attended Carlisle Commercial College. She Is the organist at the Church of God.

The bridegroom also is a graduate of Shippensburg High School. He is employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company.

Mr. and Mrs. Cramer left on a month's trip through the northwestern part of the United States and Canada. They plan to visit Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Houser in Saskatchewan, Canada, who formerly lived here and are cousins of the bride.

When they return, they will reside at the home of the bride on East Orange street (sic).
