Granbury - James Michael Pope, 56, passed away on Saturday; December 12, 2020 in Granbury.
He was born July 23, 1964 in Oceanside, California to Jimmy and Ethel Eavenson Pope.
James was the family clown who could talk up a storm and who never met a stranger. He was a good Samaritan, always personally getting involved and helping people in need, especially on the road. James loved his occupation, which was truck driving. He enjoyed camping in the Wichita Mountains, traveling to Colorado with his dog Abby and doing just about anything with his twin brother John. He was also a great fan of the Dallas Cowboys and he loved music.
James was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald Pope and a sister Linda Pope.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Tatsch; daughter, Amanda Pope; step-children, Lacy, Cacy, Cody, and Alisa; multiple grandchildren; sisters, LaDonna Kay Cooper and Sandy McKee; his brother, John Pope and wife Gloria; sister-in-law Diana Shaw; brother-in-law Phil Stump, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Celebration of Life for James will be scheduled at a later date.
