Marvin attended schools in both Texas and Duncan, Oklahoma. He married Nyla Jean Wright in Carson City, Nevada on August 8, 1963. Two children - Kathy and Aaron - were born to this union. He was employed as a cross-country truck driver. He also sold cars.
He enjoyed carpentry and built home and commercial buildings with Emmitt Green. He loved to watch westerns on television. Traveling was also a favorite pastime. He enjoyed car races and deer hunting. Marvin was a member of Bethesda Church of God.
Marvin is survived by his children: Kathy Sampson of Lone Grove, Aaron and wife Laura Green of Walters; grandchildren: Tyler Sampson, Regan Sampson, Brianna Sampson, Halley Sampson, all of Lone Grove, Reece Rhodes, Gabriel Green; 7 great grandchildren; brothers: Jim and wife Velda Green of Marlow, Emmitt and wife Joy Green of Meridian; and sister-in-law, Lou Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Nyla Jean; infant sons; brother, Jack Green; sister, Waunita "Nicki" Tripp; son-in-law, Dennis Sampson; and nephews: Jackie Green and Udell Green.
