Mr. Horton passed away early Monday in Lexington. He was born January 6, 1939 in Henderson County to the late Elmer and Eula Mae Dunivan Horton. He retired from Johnson Controls after 38 years and enjoyed baseball, gardening, western movies and riding his lawnmower.
Mr. Horton was preceded in death by one brother, Mac Horton and one sister, Ann Davis. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Jo Ann Bartholomew Horton; his son, Mike Horton (Shoral); two daughters, Lisa Prater and Tammy Weaver (Jeff); two sisters, Sue Scott and Jeanne Hamilton; and five grandchildren, Jennifer Hutson (Josh), Jessica Lauton (Josh), Brittany Blankenship, Josh Weaver, and Tyler Horton.
