Patrick Hughes Coleman died peacefully in his sleep December 6th. Pat was born 12.21.1925 to Edward and Virginia Coleman in Lynchburg VA. He grew up in Petersburg VA with his two brothers Ed and Joe Coleman with whom he was very close. He fell in love with flying during his childhood and enlisted in the US Army Air Corps (now US Airforce) during WW2. After the war, he used the GI Bill attending Texas A & M and Duke University. When it was time to graduate, the Dean was perplexed as Pat had not graduated from high school. Pat explained he had taken advanced courses in the air corps and saw no reason to earn his high school diploma. The Dean allowed him to graduate.

Pat moved to Streator IL working for Owens Corning where he met, fell in love with and married Lorraine Groene. They had 4 daughters and put down permanent roots in Cincinnati OH where he worked for Jordan Valve. To achieve life goals such as putting his children through college, he decided to become a manufacturer’s rep with the support of his wife starting Colesco out of his basement. Founded in 1964, Colesco is still a successful thriving business.

Pat and Lorraine worked at providing the best for their 4 girls with education, holiday celebrations, supporting their sport and school activities and of course love. When Pat and Lorraine sold Colesco to Colesco employees, they enjoyed traveling the world, visiting extended family, being good neighbors, engaging in their community and the Good Shepherd church community.

Pat is survived by his wife of 68 years Lorraine Coleman; 4 daughters, Jan (Bill) Skillman of Bonita Springs, FL, Terri (Randy) Owen of Grand Junction, CO, Rebeccah Coleman of Atlanta, GA and Trish (Don) Musnuff of St. Johns, NC; 9 grandchildren, Will (Beth) Skillman, Greg (Kim) Skillman, Noelle (Albert) Caceres, Jessica (Chris) Merrall and five other grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, Carolina Skillman, Patrick Lawrence, Jordan (Corey) Deland, Montana “Tana” Skillman, and Madison “Madi” Skillman.
