Mrs. Verna Freddine “Dean” Hardy Harris of Huntsville, Alabama; passed away on Saturday - December 12, 2020 at the age of 84 years.
Mrs. Harris was born on April 14, 1936 in Tippo, Mississippi to the late Vernon Fred Hardy and Edgle Christine Camp Hardy. Mrs. Harris lived in Arab for 50 years before moving to Huntsville, Alabama back in 2016 Mrs. Harris taught school in Missouri, Florida, Tennessee and Alabama at the Arab Jr. High School. Mrs. Harris graduated from Charleston High School in Mississippi and from Delta State University with a Bachelors of Arts in English and social studies. She was also accredited in Alabama to teach history.
Mrs. Harris leaves behind to celebrate her life and legacy; children, Robert Mitchell (Bob) of Leesburg, Virginia, Laurel Ann (Laurie) of Huntsville, Alabama and James Cary (Jim) of Atlanta Georgia; grandsons, Erik Mitchell Harris and John Patrick Harris; daughter-in-law, Donna Faye Westbrook Harris; siblings, Gay Lynn Moorhead of Seattle, Washington and Dan Hardy of Stuttgart, Arkansas.
In addition to her beloved parents, Mrs. Harris is at last reunited with her husband, Ronald Eugene Harris; siblings, Marion Jeanette Bailey, Melvin Ray Hardy and Vernon Kimbrell Hardy.
A Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Brookwood Cemetery starting at 2:00 p.m. with Randy Evers, officiating.
