In the early morning of Thursday, November 26, 2020, Charlotte Thompson, loving wife, mother and Grammy, passed away at the age of 77. Charlotte was born on July 15, 1943 to Edward and Mary Wise in Fortuna, CA. On September 28, 1963, she married her high school sweetheart, Jeff Thompson; they shared a wonderful life together and recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.

Their oldest son Craig was born in Eureka, CA in 1964, quickly followed by the birth of their second son, Gary, in 1965, also born in Eureka. Jeff's work then took them to Napa, CA, where their 3rd son Chad was born. The last of the four boys, Jason, was born seven years later. They remained in Napa until 1978 when Jeff's work moved them to their final homestead in Redding CA.

Family was always her top priority, which started with her commitment to being a stay at home mom for her four boys. She was also naturally gifted at both music and the arts and in the early years of their marriage, you'd find her teaching piano lessons to many school-age children. As her youngest child entered his middle school years, she started exploring her artistic side through the creation of masterful and very realistic silk Ficus trees and floral arrangements she made for a local florist shop. This eventually led to the founding of her own floral, tree and plant maintenance business, Charlotte's Tree Shop. During this time, she also volunteered at Mercy Hospital as a Pink Lady for over 20-years and was the Co-Chair of the Christmas Tree Fantasy for the Mercy Foundation for over 10-years, which included donating her time and materials to make literally hundreds of Christmas Trees for their fund-raising auction. Small business ownership and volunteerism aside, as the family grew, she became well-known and loved by all as "Grammy".

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Jeff Thompson, her four children, Craig (Renee), Gary (Sheri), Chad (Catherine) and Jason (Melissa); grandchildren Danyelle (Chris), Kyle (Mallory), Alisha (Virgil), Dalton, Christina (Nick), Amy, Hailey, Bowen (Addy), Brooke, Madelyn, Emily, Sheida, Christina, Casey, Hunter and Hannah; great grandchildren Aiden, Jackson, Regli, Spencer, Brayden, Virgil, and Isla; sisters Laraine (Gary), Joanne (Loren), Barbara (Mark), Margaret (Jay) and brother Anthony (Betina), and many loved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Mary Wise, brother Gregory Wise and sister Karen Wise.
