Timothy M. Hart, age 73, of Erie, passed away at his residence Saturday December 12, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born in Erie, July 2, 1947, a son of the late Thomas and Vera (Burger) Hart.

Tim was a graduate of East High School class of 1965. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War serving with the U.S. Army. Tim was a firefighter with the Erie Fire Department from 1972 until he retired in 2005 with the rank of Lieutenant working out of Engine 11 on West 8th Street. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #67, Sportsman's Athletic, Sunflower and Cascade Clubs. He enjoyed golfing, reading, crosswords, swimming and was a huge New York Giants and Penn State fan, but most especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jeffrey Hart.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Margaret (Johnson) Hart, six children; Jeffrey Hart (Julie) of Clifton, Va., Kevin Hart (Amanda) of Erie, Brian Hart (Rachael) of Apple Valley, Minn., Kimberly Hart of Erie, Alicia Kwitowski (Jason) of Erie and Katie Hart of Erie, ten grandchildren, Bryson, Rhys and Langston Hart, Brandon, Allison and Kendall Janke, Olivia and Lyla Hart and Mackenzie and Mackenna Kwitkowski, one brother, Thomas Hart (Ruth) of Apex, N.C. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Due to the COVID Pandemic, private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Christian Eriksson his nephew officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St., at Greengarden Blvd., are handling arrangements. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
