Lawrence Edward Roberts, age 88, of Cleveland, departed this life on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his residence.

Born in Sharon Grove, Kentucky on February 17, 1932 to the late Eugene and Nettie Roberts, he was a member of The Church of God and a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Lawrence loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 65years, Barbara Neff Roberts; children, Lawrence Roberts, Jr (Donna), Mark Roberts(Sandy), Timothy Roberts(Becky), Julie Steele( Joe) Alisa Williams(Sam), Connie Werkheiser(Kevin) Laura McDaniel(Tim) and Malissa Hawkins (Robert); sister Adalene Wright and brother Arvil Lee Roberts. Twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

A Celebration of Life and Home going for Lawrence Edward Roberts will be held at 6p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at The Church of God located at 193 Tillie Road NW Cleveland, Tennessee 37312 with his sons-in-law, Joe Steele and Robert Hawkins officiating.

Interment will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends from 4-6p.m. on Monday at the church prior to the funeral hour.
