Joseph E. Schwartz of Canton, formerly of Sharon passed away on October 14, 2020 at 96 years of age. Devoted son of the late Abraham and Bessie (Goldbin) Schwartz, he was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Glick) Schwartz. Loving father of Roberta and her husband Larry Fishman. Dear brother of Arlene Abugov. Born in Winthrop and a veteran serving in the Army Air Corp as a Sergeant during World War II, he earned four battle stars. After serving his country he graduated from Boston University earning his degree in accounting and business. He met and married Eleanor Glick and had a loving marriage of almost 58 years until her untimely passing. He resided in Sharon, MA and for the last three years was a resident of Cornerstone Community in Canton. He owned and operated Crown Television and Radio until his retirement when he then started his career as a substitute teacher at the Galvin Middle School in Canton.

A small private graveside service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park on 10/18/2020. There will be a one day virtual Shiva (via Zoom) available to all who wish to attend, Sunday October 18 from 4 – 6 PM.
