Lowell Cemetery was originally named Lowell City Cemetery as confirmed by the Dodge Jefferson Counties Genealogical Society (March 2021).
Reading #1 of Lowell City Cemetery is dated approximately 1980 and includes burials from the mid 1800's through the late 1970's. (page 20 from Reading #1 is pictured with the binder where stored).
Reading #2 of Lowell Cemetery is dated approximately 2006.
An analysis of 47 burials from Reading #1 - page 20 - revealed only 27 of the burials included in Reading #2. Apparently, many of the gravestones in the older sections were broken and unrecognizable by Reading #2.
Research is currently being done to determine if Reading #1 and Reading #2 can be combined.
