Myra was born and raised in Raton. She was the oldest of five children born to Ora Leo Daniel and Mabel Alice Pittenger Daniel. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, George, and a great grandson Christopher.
Myra married her sweetheart from Springer, Jack, in 1939 right out of high school. They farmed and ranched in Springer and raised their family there. She loved her church, her music, dancing with Jack, her family, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the many friends she and Jack accumulated over their years of living in different places and traveling. She especially enjoyed their camping and being in the mountains. She will be sorely missed.
The family would especially like to thank for their gentle care of Myra, the nurses and aides at Mission Arch, especially Dan, Dee, Kim, Linda, Lisa, Loraine, Terri, Wanda, Lindsey and Dr. Herrera.
Cremation has taken place as she wished and a memorial service will take place at the First United Methodist Church in Springer at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct 12.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association in lieu of flowers.
