Chester Woodrow Hyatt, 82, of 302 S Potomac St., Hagerstown, died Saturday, October 21, 1995 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

Born April 3, 1913, in Somerset PA., he was the son of the late Andrew Z, and Harriett A Wilson Hyatt.

He retired from Landis Tool Co. in Waynesboro, PA, in 1975, after 38 years of service.

We was a veteran of World War II, serving with the US Army Air Force, 673rd Bombardment Squadron, 417th bomb Group in the Pacific Theater.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was a member of North American Rod and Gun Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1936.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Charlotte Foster; one daughter Barbara Hose of Williamsport; two sons, Samuel P Hyatt of Westminster, CA and Michael A Hyatt of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown. The Rev Noel L Huffman will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday 30 minutes prior to the service. Friends may also call at the funeral home today from noon to 9 pm.
