Pamela Sue McManus of East Herkimer
January 25, 1950 - December 11, 2020

East Herkimer-Pamela Sue McManus, age 70, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, December 11, 2020 at Little Falls Hospital. She had the comfort of her loving family at her side. She was born on January 25, 1950 in Herkimer, daughter of the late Donald E. and Mary E. Davis Collis. A lifelong East Herkimer resident, she was a graduate of Herkimer High School. On May 15, 1971 she was united in marriage to David Charles McManus in the Herkimer United Methodist Church. They shared a devoted union of forty-five years until his passing on February 26, 2017. Over the years, Pam had worked as a secretary and administrative assistant for Herkimer County, Saint Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Mohawk Valley Nursing Home and Folts Home in Herkimer. Mrs. McManus had a strong belief in God and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Herkimer. She was also a member of the East Herkimer Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Herkimer VFW Ladies Auxiliary and The 4-H. To those who knew her they will never forget a kind, caring and loving lady with a great sense of humor. She was always willing to help anyone in need while looking for nothing in return. She will be sadly missed.

Surviving her are three sons, Chad A McManus and Melissa Twichell of Ilion, David M. McManus and his wife Kristen of East Herkimer, James McManus and his wife Cynthia of Mohawk, a sister Cynthia Jones and her husband Richard of Homer, six grandchildren, Amanda Brown, Bryan McGuire, Brittany McManus, Travis Young, Kaitlyn Duesler and Alyssa Duesler, two nephews, Dick “DJ” Jones and his wife Jennifer and Dan Jones and his wife Tina. Besides her parents and husband David, she was preceded in death by her grandson Jared McManus.

Calling hours for Mrs. McManus are on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. Funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Robert Nasypany of the Herkimer Reformed Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer.

Memorial donations may be made to the East Herkimer Vol. FD Ladies Auxiliary. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Members of East Herkimer Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary are asked to meet at the funeral home at 5:00 pm for services.
