She was born on December 15, 1930 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Harry and Fern (Gansemer) Knabe.
She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald A. Staples.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Gray of Cincinnati, OH and Donna Murphy of Fort Smith, AR; a son, Jeffrey Staples and his wife Marie of Kansas City, MO; a brother, John Knabe of Nehawka, NE and three grandchildren, Jason Murphy of Bethel Heights, AR and Emily and Danielle Staples both of Kansas City, MO.
Graveside services are 1:00PM, Saturday, December 19, 2020 at St. John’s Cemetery of Nehawka, NE under the direction of Hammons Family Funeral Service of Weeping Water, Nebraska.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
