Roger Joe Hammons, 88, of the Tinsleys Bottom community of Clay County, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Signature Health Care in Algood, TN. A private graveside service will be held at the Butlers Landing Cemetery, with memorial services at a later date.
He was born November 14, 1932, in Clay County, TN, to the late Herman Hugh Hammons and Mabel Estelle Owen Hammons. He was a farmer, and a member of the Sugar Creek Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Charles Hammons.
Survivors include 1 Daughter: Connie Schaffer of Chicago, IL; 1 Brother: Danny Hammons of Celina, TN; 2 Sisters: Christine Sellers of Honey Grove, TX, and Margaret Netherton of Celina, TN; and 1 Grandchild: Jason (Kim) Schaffer of Chicago, IL.
