There is every reason to believe that he has been correctly connected to Christian as his child, since there is no other Shouse in Kentucky who could be their father, but evidence of this in his case is still lacking. It is our hope that some future researcher will be able to find the needed proof and it will no longer be necessary to set them apart from his known children. Since we have every reason (except proof) to consider them children of Christian, we will continue their lines in this work as if they were his children.
