Harold Ray Stewart, of Independence, MO passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020. He was 81.

Harold was born June 12, 1939 in Independence, MO. He retired after 32 years with Associated Wholesale Grociers. He enjoyed fishing, vacationing, cookouts and spending time with family. Harold was a wonderful, generous, and loving husband and father.

Harold is preceded in death by his father, Victor Stewart and mother, Helen Kaiser; two brothers, Julian Stewart and Gary Stewart.

He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Ruth Stewart; two children, Debbie Rector (husband, Roger) and Steve Stewart (wife, Rhonda); four grandchildren, Adam Stewart, Ashley Jennings, Clint Masten, Nicole Johnson; as well as, four great-grandchildren, Blake Stewart, Lily Jennings, Owen Jennings, and Luna Masten.

A visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Friday, December 18th at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. COVID-19 restrictions will be followed, masks required, and social distancing. There is a limit to the number of persons at any one time during the visitation. Please be respectful of time and do not linger so others may pay their respects to the family.

Private service for family will follow with interment at Oakland Cemetery in Buckner, MO.

Contributions may be made in Harold's honor to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
