Levi was the seventh of ten children born to Catherine Elizabeth (Erb) and Edmond (Emanuel) Myers. On September 25, 1883 he married Clara Ann Bankert, the oldest daughter of Charlotte Ann and Josephus Bankert. They farmed in Carroll County and together had two sons: Emanuel Joseph and Oscar Herman.
