"Linda Sue McFadden Zindler, 66, passed away August 7, 2015 after her second courageous battle with cancer. Linda was born to Johnathan and Dorothy McFadden on September 28, 1948 in Port Arthur, Texas. During her time at Thomas Jefferson High School she served as secretary of the Red Hussars Drum and Bugle Corps, graduating in 1967. Linda then attended Lamar Tech University, where she received her teaching degree. Her distinguished 35 years of teaching began in Houston, Fort Bend, and Alief ISDs. She spent the majority of her career in Humble ISD. Linda’s kindness and devotion influenced countless children, parents and coworkers throughout her teaching years. She was also a member of the Kingwood United Methodist Church, where she loved serving in the Nursery. Love, service and dedication defined all parts of her life. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Johnathan and Dorothy McFadden; her husband’s parents, Gertrude and Marvin Zindler, Sr.; and her two brothers, David and Charles McFadden. "
