Services for Marie Ford Casey Young, 87, Tyler, are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors chapel, Tyler, with the Rev. Allen Emerson officiating.

Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Young died Oct. 2, 2007, at a Tyler hospice.

She was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Tyler to the late J.O. and Ora Reasoner. She attended Tyler public schools and Tyler Junior College. She was a registered nurse technician and retired from The University of Texas Health Center at Tyler as supervisor of nursing. She was a member of Friendly Baptist Church and active in various religious, professional and service organizations.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Prentice Reasoner and Jack Reasoner.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond E. Young, Tyler; daughter, Delores Thedford Halbert, Tyler; sons, J.R. Allen, Gladewater, and Glen Ford, Chandler; stepdaughter, Ruth Thigpen, Tyler; twin sister, Myrean Miller, Tyler; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Charles Miller, Harold Miller, Jim Miller, Jimmy Allen, Michael Warnick and Austin Allen.

Honorary pallbearers are David Allen and Patrick Ford.

If desired, memorials may be made to Senior Citizens Center, 1915 Garden Valley Road, Tyler, 75702.
