Funeral service for Freddie E. Ashley, 85, of Oak Grove, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Terry Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Eudora, AR under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home.
Mr. Freddie was born on September 7, 1935 in Sondheimer, LA and passed away on December 12, 2020 in Oak Grove, LA. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Oak Grove, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lottie Ashley; grandchildren, McKenzie Leigh Harris; Daniel Layton; siblings, Billy Ashley; J. W. Ashley; Helen Reed; and Johnnie Kossefis.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Helen Ashley of Oak Grove, LA; children, Linda Diane Mayes and husband, Mark of Somerville, AL; Judy Carol Ashley of Eudora, AR; Freddie E. Ashley, Jr. and wife, Sue of Oak Grove, LA; Michael David Ashley; grandchildren, Robert Layton; Regina Lott; Diana Shields; Anthony Todd Harris; Lee Casey Harris; Andrew Tyler Ashley; Samuel David Ashley; and Anisha Blansett; 12 – Great Grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Fletcher.
