Mildred S. “Millie” Scott, 79, of Lakeville, slipped peacefully out of this world on Friday, December 11, 2020. Millie was born on November 17, 1941 to Clay and Eva Woods of Spencer, Indiana. She is survived by her husband, William L. Scott of Lakeville, as well as the father of her six children, Kenneth Morrow, Jr. of Mishawaka. Also surviving is her daughter, Jackie (Michael) White of South Bend; and two sons, Scott (Deana) Morrow and Daniel (Connie) Morrow, both of South Bend. Millie leaves behind four siblings, Sylvia Cooke of Williamsburg VA, Mary Parker of South Bend, Judy Chizum Knepp of Indianapolis, and Roger Woods of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Morrow; daughters, Sandra Morrow and Katherine Morrow, along with two sisters, four brothers, a great-grandchild, and several nieces & nephews. Millie was a lifelong, outspoken Democrat; she loved a political discussion over a strong cup of coffee, that never seemed to be far from her reach. Her beautiful home was most often the gathering place for large family holidays where anyone was welcome. Millie loved to shop and was almost always game for a quick trip to the casino. She was the glue that kept all the family connected and her absence will be forever felt by those she knew and loved. Millie will be buried at Southlawn Cemetery with a private family service. A Memorial to Celebrate Millie's Life will be scheduled during safer times to gather. Arrangements through Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Millie's name may be directed to the Employee Fund at Signature HealthCARE of Bremen, 316 Woodie's Lane, Bremen, IN or to The Food Bank of Northern Indiana, 702 Chapin Street, South Bend, IN 46601.
