Randy Wayne Schroeder was born February 12, 1958 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Wayne and Marilyn (Schmitt) Schroeder. He was a lifelong area resident.
On September 24, 2000 he was united in marriage to Jill Gerard Hedl. He is survived by his wife Jill, his daughters, Nicole (Eric) Moore and April Schroeder, and stepdaughter, Carrie (Greg) Hedl; stepsons, Joshua (Lexi) Hedl and Jason (Jackie) Hedl; grandsons, Andre (Courtney) Hedl, Isaiah (Breezi) Hedl, Vernon Daniels, Malik Daniels, Dante Garner, Eliot Schroeder, and Cashten Moore; granddaughters, Brynn Daniels and Aurora Moore; great-grandsons, Dredynn, Legend, and Denalli Hedl; and great-granddaughter, Maliiah Hedl. Randy is also survived by his sister, Debra (Patrick) Smith.
Randy was employed for 37 years by the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Notre Dame, Indiana. Randy was an incredibly hard worker and any job he was assigned was done 100%. He was a kind and caring man and would do anything in his power to help anyone. He was a devoted husband and loved his kids and grandkids with all his big heart. He will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends TODAY, Tuesday, December 15 from 4:00-6:00 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. Private family service will be held after.
