Mr. Morris, 85, of Charlotte, NC, went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at Carolinas Medical Center. He retired from the Air Force after 21 years, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He was born on February 11, 1919 in South Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Mary Monteith [Homesley] Morris; sons Mack and David Homesley, both of Charlotte and Jack Homesley of Huntersville; daughters, Kathy Calhoun of Charlotte and Myra Hartman of Matthews and sisters Delsey Wray and Lona Hanney both of Gastonia. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday August 13, 2004 in the cemetery of Berea Baptist Church Gastonia.
