BURGESS, Paul E., age 97, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away November 26, 2020. Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, July 3, 1923, to Reverend Emma Wilhelmina Winterle Burgess and Plaford M. Burgess.

Paul attended Lakeview High School, and served in the U.S. Navy from January 10, 1941 to August 8, 1946. He was an Aviation Chief Radioman (Radio and Radar Materiel). Seaplanes with Atlantic and Pacific Fleets. He worked as Traffic Manager for Clark Equipment Co., and was the Senior Vice President, General Manager, and Corporate Secretary for Cello-Foil Products, Inc. He also worked as the Director of Purchasing and Materials Management at the Battle Creek Sanitarium Hospital.

Paul was a member of the Battle Creek Seventh-Day Adventist Tabernacle. Paul is preceded in death by sister Eunice Burgess Slighly; and wives, Velma Burgess Farney, mother of their four children, and Elisabeth Prosser Burgess, dear friend in later years. He is survived by his brother, Hilmar P. Burgess, Kalamazoo, Michigan; children, Sharon Burgess Williams (Albert), of Loveland, CO, Kathleen Burgess Brannon and Terren Burgess Koles, both of Centerville, OH, and Scott Lewis Burgess, of Middletown, OH; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A burial took place in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan, near Battle Creek. Services in the care of Routsong Funeral Home, Kettering.
