Mrs. Wanda Lou (Cagle) Cook, age 68 of Ellijay, passed on Friday December 11th, 2020 at her residence. She was born December 23rd, 1951 to her late parents Grady William and Bessie Pearl (Gibson) Cagle in Ellijay, GA. Wanda was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and worked as a secretary for Dr. E.J. Fernandez M.D. for 18 years. She graduated Gilmer High School, Class of 1969. Wanda is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Bookie Cagle.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday December 15th, 2020 from the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Jones and Rev. Brian Clayton officiating. Chris Wright, Roger Stahl, Michael Bennett, Stacy Rogers, Jerry Millsaps, Keith Logan and Lamar Walker will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Wanda is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bobby Anthony Cook of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Chris Wright of Ellijay, son, Bobby “Anthony” Cook, Jr. of Ellijay, grandchildren, Kenley Cook, Kamron Cook and Colt Wright.
The family is receiving friends from 4:00pm – 8:00pm on Monday December 14th, at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Cook.
