Obituary for Linda McKinney
Linda Woodard McKinney, age 74, of Humpback Mountain Road in Spruce Pine, the Altapass community, died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.

Born on September 22, 1946 in Eastman, GA, she was the daughter of the late Vernie and Gertrude Garnto Woodard. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, W.D. Woodard.

Linda was a member of the Estatoe Church of God. She had served a number of years as the Church Treasurer. She was retired from Wells Fargo Bank in Spruce Pine. She loved music and singing in the church choir. She loved her children and grandchildren and took great pride in taking care of them. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Norris McKinney of the home; her daughter; Sheila Scruggs and husband, Jay of Sweetwater, TN; her son; Harold McKinney and wife, Melissa of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren; Christa, Shelley, Kelly, Matthew, Caitlin, Chloe, Clarissa, Chase, Gage, and Logun; her great grandchildren; Stanley, Valerie, Zackary, Sheryl, Shawn, Sarah, and Riley; her brothers; Bobby Woodard and wife, Jeanne of Belle Glade, FL and Steve Woodard and wife, Tracy of Loxahatchee, FL; and her sister; Dianne Fortney of Prairie du Chien, WI.

The funeral service for Linda McKinney will be on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 3:00 pm at the Estatoe Church of God. Interment will be in the Estatoe Church of God Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to; Webb Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
