Roy C. Wendt, 85, died March 9, 1986, in Rockford after a long illness. Born March 6, 1901, in Huntley, son of Fred and Elizabeth Deltz Wendt. Lived most of his life in Rockford. Married the former Loretta Mary Lahre in Dubuque, Iowa, March 22, 1940. Employed as machinist by Ingersoll Milling Machine Co. many years. Member Eagles Club.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta, several nieces and nephews, including Richard Winkelman, Belvidere. Predeceased by a sister, Emma Winkelman.
