Judith "Judy" Ann Walker

Sheboygan - Judith "Judy" Ann Walker, age 71, of Sheboygan, stepped into Glory to meet to her Savior as a result of several days of respiratory distress causing her to go to St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan where she was diagnosed with Covid-19 Pneumonia. The next day she was feeling better, but later in the day, December 8, 2020, had a cardiac respiratory arrest and passed away at 4:15pm.

Judy was born on April 13, 1949, to Alex and Wilma (Dahmer) Ehler in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Judy met her husband, Sam, while she was working as the secretary for Campus Life in the Upper Room Coffee House in Sheboygan. Judy and Sam were married on January 6, 1973 at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sheboygan.

Judy was a graduate of North High School and later received her LPN degree from Lakeshore Technical College. She worked at St. Nicholas Hospital and for Dr. Malewiski in his private practice. Together, Judy and Sam opened Sonlight Books - A Parable Christian Store in Sheboygan and ran the business together for 39 years. Judy was responsible for Visual Merchandising and gift buying. She stayed active as a nurse in her later years by assisting Seniors with Foot Care.

Judy was kind, loving, and compassionate. She loved caring for people, but her compassion shined through when she was able to take care of animals, especially her dogs and cats. Judy truly loved the Lord and was active in many different areas such as planning and coordinating Campus Life fund raising events which helped spread His Word throughout the community. Judy enjoyed cooking, collecting cookbooks, reading Christian fiction and many of the authors from her Christian bookstore. She enjoyed watching old TV shows, adventures and the total experience of watching movies at the theater. Sam will miss his soul mate, but looks forward to the time Jesus brings them back together in His Loving embrace …"Well done, good and faithful servant!"

Judy is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years, Sam; brother, Rev. Don (Darlene) Ehler and nephews, Tim (Glenda) Ehler, Matthew Ehler, and neice, Elizabeth (John) Ehler-Blum; and great-nephews, Joshua Ehler, Adrian Ehler, Jonathan Ehler, Drew Ehler-Blum; great-niece, Julia Ehler-Blum all of La Crosse, WI; Aunt Dorothy Yurk; Uncle Robert Vogt; and other relatives and friends.
