Willie “Sugar Boy” Craig was born February 6, 1955 in Dallas County, Arkansas to Marvin Perry and Betty J. Craig. He accepted Christ and united with Harmony Baptist Church at a young age and attended Sparkman Training School.

He possessed a strong work ethic and was employed as an independent logger. By all accounts he was a “jack of all trades”, but his passion was auto mechanics. He used his skilled hands to repair, fix and replace parts on several cars. When not working at a shop, he was the “go-to” man for after hour repairs. He could be found any day spending countless hours under someone’s hood. Sugar-Boy proudly proclaimed that he was too good to be a labeled as a “shade tree” mechanic. His reputation for proficient and timely work was widely known throughout Arkansas and the Milwaukee areas.

His hobbies included working on cars, watching sports, and hunting. He enjoyed listening to the music, playing dominoes and just having a good time. Sugar Boy was the life of the party. One of his greatest joys was spending memorable moments with relatives and friends, both young and old. He possessed a friendly spirit and never met a stranger. He meant what he said, and said what he meant. His natural wit and humor could never be duplicated.

Family, as well as friends, will miss his strength, smile and love, but will never forget his spirit and compassion. He passed into the Lord’s embrace Monday, November 23, 2020 at St. Luke Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lurenda Faye Craig; his father, Marvin Perry; and two sons, Travis Craig and Willie Craig, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother Betty Jo Craig of Malvern, AR; his children, Felecia Craig and TaNaya Craig both of Milwaukee, WI; Kimberly Mahan and Kelvin White both of Bearden, AR whom he cherished as his own children; his siblings, Terry Gregory (Zella) of Camden, AR, Bobbie White (Larry) and Michelle Craig both of Malvern, AR, Vera Rideout of Pine Bluff, AR, Jacqueline Westmoreland (Michael), Sandra Weddle (Kenneth) and Rev. Phillip Perry all of Milwaukee, WI. He also leaves five grandchildren, Shaherah Edwards, ShaKayka Edwards, DJ Moore, ShaMiracle Moore and Louis Craig; four great-grandchildren; an aunt, Patricia Whitaker, as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Harmony Baptist Church in Sparkman, Arkansas with Rev. Harvey Goodwin, pastor. Interment will be at Harmony Community Cemetery.

James Henderson, Dontae Thrower, Jae-Kur Lockhart, Ollie Hughes, James Craigg and Chris King will serve as pallbearers. Bobby King, Bobby Goodwin, Phillip Perry, Elijah Gipson, Culley Henderson, and Jerry Bowman are honorary pallbearers.
