MR. ELI WEBB, OATLANDS.
The death occurred at his home, Lemon Springs, Oatlands, on Sunday of Mr. Eli Webb, a well known resident of the district.
Aged 73 years, and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Webb, Lower Marshes, he was a pastoralist throughout his life. He began as a shearer, and later acquired the property of Pleasant PIace, Lower Marshes, which he conducted for 30 years. For the past 25 years he has lived at Lemon Springs, and also owned Mereton, Woodbury.
He leaves his wife and seven daughters-Miss Rita Webb, Marie (Mrs. M. P. L. Jones, Oatlands), Kathleen (Mrs. N. Ramsay, Melbourne), Jean (Mrs. P. Dwyer, Mount Seymour), Constance (Mrs. T. O'Hara, Launceston), Daphne (Mrs. R. Wighton, Oatlands), and Hazel (Mrs. R. Dickenson, Granton) -- and one son, Maxwell. Messrs. William Webb ,(Oatlands) and Frederick and George Webb, (Deloraine) are brothers.
