Walter Eddie Turner transitioned into eternal life on Monday, September 28, 2020.
He was the lovable husband of ‘’Lil-mama’’ Lenora Moore-Turner. Walter was born in Littleton, NC to the late William and Marjorie Smith Turner. Walter was educated in the North Waren high school system- class of 1965. After graduation, he enlisted in the service with the United State Army during the Vietnam era. He was honorably discharged with the National Defense Medal, Bronze Medal, Purple Heart, and Marksman-Riffle M-14.
After returning home to Littleton, NC, he then relocated to New Haven CT, where he met and married Ruby Lee Jenkins in 1997. After Rudy’s death, Walter then remarried “Lil-mama’’ Lenora Moore-Turner on October 2, 1999 till his passing on September 28, 2020.
He worked at Stop and Shop for over 30 years until he retired in 2000. He was a member of the Orchard Street Block Watch 638, Teamster Local 443, Charles W. Woods Post 10321, Veterans of the Foreign War, and The Aggie Spirit- WCTS- NWHS Alumni Friends Association Inc. Walter was very spiritual and believed in God, he loved to sing to his wife.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Lenora Moore-Turner, a son Edmond Bryant (Frankie) of New Haven, CT; four stepson’s Lee Jenkins (Greta), Will Jenkins (Victoria) Greenville Al, Clayton E. Moore all of Jacksonville ,FL, and Bobby R. Moore of California. Five sisters, Eudera Sanders of Raleigh, NC, Juanita Spruill (John) of Henderson, NC, Sophia Turner of Raleigh, NC, Vernetta Smith (Melvin) of NC, and Linda Kelly (David) of Raleigh NC; one uncle Clyde Smith (Vivian) of Norlina, NC. He also left behind three special grandchildren Ruby Bryant, Breyona Bryant, and Brandon Bryant, numerous step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter Tanisha Turner, stepdaughter Henrietta Jenkins, Six brothers, Benjamin, Curtis, Lowell, William, Roosevelt, and Wiley; sister Lillie Coleman.
All proceeds and contributions in memory of Mr. Walter Turner should be made to Charles W. Woods Post 10321 relief Funds and checks mailed to 725 Orchard St, New Haven, CT 06511.
