Richard D. Lynch Jr., 86, of Baltic CT. passed away on October 21, 2020. Richard was born March 11, 1934 in McKeesport Pa., son of Richard and Margaret (Landers) Lynch.

Richard served in the U.S. Airforce for 28 years including serving in the Vietnam War and was selected for special assignments to our U.S. American Embassy in Rangoon Burma, Tel Aviv Isreal and Ankara Turkey. Richard was a decorated veteran, and rose to highest enlisted rank of Chief Master Sgt. E-9 .

Richard is survived by his former wife and lifelong companion, Theresa Lynch, their three daughters, Debra Salvas of Baltic CT, Sharon Pooley of Columbus, Ohio, and Laura O Connor of Fort Lauderdale Fla., and grandchildren and step grandchildren Theresa Copson, Austin Pooley, and Connor Pooley, Scott Salvas, Jason Salvas and three great grandchildren, Michael Copson, Gabrielle Copson and Sienna Salvas.

Catholic mass was held at St. Patrick Cathedral in Norwich Ct.

Military burial with honors followed at the Veterans cemetery in Middletown Ct.
