Sally Roberts Welch, 86, of Centralia, died Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 15 at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow at the Centralia City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, December 14 at the funeral home.

To those attending the visitation and graveside service, we ask that you wear a face mask, and maintain social distancing. Be aware that capacity and seating may be limited. We will follow guidelines set forth by Boone County.

Sally was born March 1, 1934 in Thompson, the daughter of Clifton Carl and Hester Ann (Tompson) Jesse.

Sally married Roy Lee Welch in Centralia on October 26, 1984, who preceded her in death on September 4, 2011.

Along with her husband Roy, Sally is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Gilbert E. Jesse, Martin C. Jesse, Robert S. Jesse; and her sister, Marian Jesse.

She is survived by her children: Margie A. Whisler, George C. Roberts and wife Vicky L. Jesse-Roberts, Wanda J. Roberts, all of Centralia, Randy and Diane Welch, of Mesa, Arizona, and Nancy Welch of St. Louis; grandchildren: Dawn A. Jesse and husband Gavin “Rocky” Cline of Columbia, Jeremy and wife Jamie Whisler, Melissa Whisler, Simon Whisler, all of Centralia, Andrew W. Roberts of Columbia, Patrick and wife Ashley Roberts of Fulton, Maggie and husband Justin Holley of Moberly, Hannah Welch of St. Louis; great-grandchildren: Jessica Ferguson, US Navy, and husband Alexander, Seairra Ferguson of Columbia, Breylen, Lealia, and Alison Whisler of Centralia, Alexia Roberts, Dominic Roberts of Fulton, Jeramiah Vinyard, Justin Holley Jr. of Moberly, Ryan Welch and Justin Welch of St. Louis. She also leaves behind very special friends Gary and Suzanne Hatten.

Sally radiated joy in her life, through her enjoyment of singing, in her love of animals, and in cooking for her family, especially when baking her hot rolls and apple cake. She delighted in a cup of coffee and a good book. She was a woman of faith, with unwavering love for God.

Sally loved being a teacher, and she adored all her kids throughout the years, however her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held the most special place in her heart.

Memorial donations are suggested to Cornerstone Baptist Church, or Spiritual Care Services for the Foundation at Boone Hospital, or Central Missouri Humane Society and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240.
