Rebecca Gentry Roth
January 22, 1959 ~ December 8, 2020 (age 61)

Rebecca G. Roth (1959-2020)

Beloved mother, sister, Bubbé, aunt, and niece.

Born in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Raised by her parents Richard G. Wright and Mary Brown (Wright). Rebecca spent most of her childhood growing up in lovely Webster Groves, Missouri.

Rebecca is survived by her children; Sally deTar (Hilton), Paul Roth, and Sloane Solomon, Grandchildren; Abigail R., and Orion deTar. Her sister Laura and aunt Sarah will also greatly miss her. Loved by her late husband John T.G. Roth and her late daughter Catherine G. Roth.

Rebecca loved spending time with her family more than anything. She also loved painting with oils, tiny hats, spending time on beautiful Torch Lake, teaching pre-school earlier in her life, and looking out to her back field off of Davock Road. She was one of the best cooks the family has known or can remember.

She passed on Tuesday, December 8, with all three children beside her at her favorite place in the world, the Stone House. It was a very quick process due to cancer.

We will have an (immediate family only) ceremony this winter, and plan to have a memorial for her summer 2021 (depending on the COVID situation). She and her quick wit, smile, and laughter will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are in the care of the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
