Elizabeth J. Eggleston, 78, of Springfield passed away at 1:15 p.m. Thursday July 5, 2001 at her residence. She was born September 29, 1922 the daughter of Willaim C. and Mary E. Martin Eggleston in Springfield, Illinois.

Elizabeth was Employed by Sangamo Electric from 1942-1978 and the City of Springfield from 1978-1988. She was a Member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, member of St. Louise DeMarillac, member of Catholic Daughters of America., Sangamo Retirees Club, City of Springfield Retirees Club. She was a Volunteer Samaritan at St. John's Hospital, and Sacred Heart Griffin Alumni Association. She was a Graduate of Sacred heart Academy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Robert M. Eggleston, and a sister Mary Ellen Langan. She is survived by 2 brothers; William C. Eggleston and Richard L. Eggleston.

Funeral Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
