Sandra Lynne (Berner) Lord, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 6th at Howard Hospital. She will be remembered for her kindness and gentle spirit.

Born on February 23rd, 1939, Sandy was the daughter of Helen Jesse Johns and Julius G. Berner. She grew up in Linthicum and Dundalk, MD, and later moved to Catonsville, MD with her husband, Robert Lord. Sandy took pride in caring for her two children, Richard and Jessica.

From an early age, Sandy had a love of nature and art. As an adult she continued to foster these passions through painting. Sandy was also a long-time member of Catonsville Presbyterian Church and spent her later years at the Shangri-La Assisted Living. Above all, she valued time spent with family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sister, Patricia; and daughter, Jessica.Sandy is survived by her son, Richard; her grandson, Richard Jr.; her brother and sister in law, John D. and Jean Berner; and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service is planned for Monday, June 15th, at Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville, MD. A virtual memorial service will take place via Zoom on Thursday, June 18th at 7:00pm to share memories and celebrate her life.
