August 18, 1953 -- December 7, 2020

ANNIE ELIZABETH BASS YANCEY, aka Aunt Annie, was born on August 18, 1953 at Martha Gaston Hospital in Lebanon, Tennessee to the late Mamie E. Bass of Watertown, TN and Mr. Abraham L. McCarver of Lebanon, Tennessee. God called her home December 7, 2020.

Annie accepted Christ at an early age and became a lifetime member at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Watertown, Tennessee, where she was a member of the choir. Annie attended Watertown High School where she played basketball and graduated with the Class of '71. Annie, aka Mrs. Annie, retired from Fortune Plastics in 1992 and also from TRW in 2019. Mrs. Annie was loved, respected and formed a close bond with many of her coworkers whom she considered to be her children, whose heads could get popped just the same as her girls. Annie had a heart of gold and picked 1900+7 children along the way. She was into spending time with her family, cooking with love and reading became a major hobby of hers and was known to give powerful prayers at any given time she felt one would need it. She was a lady that would tell you how she felt and share her wisdom with anyone who would listen.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, Mamie E. Bass and Abraham L. McCarver; stepmother, Joanne McCarver; devoted grandparents, Ivory (Rooseus) Bass and Willie (Golden) McCarver; and her two brothers, Nathaniel McCarver and Willie Ray McCarver. Annie left a lifetime of memories and wisdom to be cherished by her two devoted daughters, Robin Bass and QuinToya (Johnny) Turner; devoted son, De'Kevion Bass; siblings, James (Mary) Bass, David McCarver, Abraham McCarver, Yvonne (Herb) Jones and Deborah McCarver; sisters-in-law Sue McCarver and Sabrina Borghese; aunts, Margaret Richardson and Betty Douglas; uncle, Scott Bass; nephews/, Reginald (Bethany) Bass, Quantae Jackson, Demondd Starks; nieces/daughters, Kimberly Draper Bass, Cassandra Bass, Leslie Royston and a vast host of nephews, cousins and friends; special and devoted sisters: Linda Pearl Thompson, Mary Ann Douglas, Charltise Vantrease, Norma Scales and Deneen Barr.

Mrs. Yancey passed away at Vanderbilt Wilson Hospital in Lebanon, Tennessee on December 7, 2020. She was 67 years old.

Funeral service: 12 PM at the same location

Burial: Beard Cemetery, Linwood Road, Watertown, TN 37184
